Four-poster beds are seen as emblematic of wealth and status. No National Trust country house would be complete without at least one. In reality they were developed for entirely practical reasons: to shield sleepers from unpleasant drafts. While that function may now be obsolete, there is no denying the four-poster’s sense of extravagant luxury. This Gallery Interiors bed with its intricately grained wooden base and frame, its grand patterned headboard and rustic finish will transform your bedroom into a comforting retreat of genuinely Bohemian character. Executed in simple lines with a rich, dark wood stain, the Boho Retreat is an unforgettable statement piece.
